Private MUN — sometimes called an Independent MUN — is a Model United Nations conference convened outside the umbrella of any single school or university. It is curated, hosted and chaired by a hand-picked secretariat of student leaders, free to set its own committee slate, executive standards and intellectual tone.
In India, the private circuit has quietly become the most rigorous arena for high-school diplomacy. Delegates from dozens of institutions assemble under one roof to negotiate, draft resolutions and stress-test ideas in a setting that rewards substance over school name.
AgratasMUN is our entry into that circuit — a new conference born in Bangalore with one stubborn ambition: to host the most thoughtful, articulate and beautifully run independent MUN the city has seen. We open our gavels on the 25th of July, 2026.
Whether you want to debate the world's hardest questions or help build the conference that asks them, AgratasMUN has a seat — and a responsibility — for you.
Open to students from grade 8 onwards. Pick your committee, submit your portfolio preferences, and we'll handle the rest.
We are delighted to announce AGRATAS MUN, and it is an absolute honor to welcome delegates, schools, and institutions to be a part of this prestigious conference. Through this conference, we aim to provide a dynamic platform for diplomacy, debate, leadership, and meaningful discussions on pressing global and national issues. AGRATAS MUN promises an enriching experience that will challenge delegates to think critically, collaborate effectively, and develop solutions to complex problems.
Each delegation must have a minimum of 8 registered delegates to qualify as valid.
Each delegation must ensure representation in at least 5 different committees.
